Cliff jumping is one of the easiest extreme sports to get into and people travel the world in the pursuit of searching out these coastal areas all the name of adventure. Bali has really only one place for cliff jumping but if you jump on a boat and head over to Nusa Cenengan then you can find some really nice high cliffs up to 13m high and some thrills aswell. The Bali coastal cliff is located in Jimbaran bay just across from the airport and the jumping heights depend on the tide. The height of the cliff is only around 5m but there are always a lot of people jumping here showing off their skills. It’s best to check the tide and swell charts here before jumping as the water is quite shallow and at low tide it isn’t recommended to jump as serious injury can occur.

Nusa Ceningan has 2 cliff jumping areas both incredible places to watch the sunset and jumping here will certainly get your adrenalin pumping. Make sure that you check the tide reports here as the swell can get big and the suck/pull motion of the current can be scary for those who aren’t strong swimmers. The 2 places in Nusa Cenengan are called Blue Lagoon and Mahana Point. Blue lagoon used to be used all the time with a ladder going straight back up to where you jumped from but since someone broke their back there the Indonesians have closed it down and the official jumping place is Mahana Point. If you do want to jump Blue Lagoon then be sure to check the tides and also bring some reef shoes. When you climb up there are sharp rocks and your feet will get shredded if you aren’t wearing appropriate footwear.

Mahana Point is one of the best places to watch the sunset in the whole of Bali regency. There is a bar that looks out over the surf break with a specially made diving platform. This jump is very straight forward and once the waves break just jump in and ride them to shore. It is highly recommended to go here for sunset and just enjoy the tranquility as it is definitely one of the best places to check out on your trip here.
